Philippe Brenninkmeyer was born in Wimbledon, England in 1964 to Dutch parents. At the age of 12, his family moved to Dusseldorf, Germany. He remained in Germany until attending the American University in Paris where he studied business administration.

In his mid 20s, Philippe changed paths and set out for London to attend the Lee Strassberg Acting School. He spent the next 6 years in London studying acting and working extensively in London theatre. Critically acclaimed London theatre credits include: Mephisto, Romeo & Juliet, The Rivals and Woyzeck.

In 1996, Philippe moved to New York City to pursue a career in American theatre and film. While in New York, Mr. Brenninkmeyer won leading roles in several award-winning productions including: No Exit, Our Country’s Good, King Lear, As You Like It and Macbeth. In early 2000, Philippe pursued work in Germany’s television & film industry. Almost overnight, he became a household name. There, he’s starred in: Liebe-Luge,-Leidenschaften 1 & 2, Perfect Harmony, Until the End of the World and the popular German television series Girlfriends. Philippe has appeared on the big screen in such films as: Beerfest (Warner Bros.), Choking Man (Ghost Robot), Super Troopers (Fox Searchlight) and the award-winning independent film Nioulargo. Notable American television performances include: Sex and the City, Guiding Light and Law & Order.

Philippe splits his time between New York, Los Angeles and Berlin.
